Alison Nash

Alison Nash has two true passions in art, her imaginative and whimsical illustrations, and capturing the genuine beauty in life through realism. She mainly works in oil, watercolor and acrylic. Occasionally she loves to experiment with other media such as woodcarving and pen and ink.

After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree, Alison ventured out to several loctations, starting with California and finally ending up in Colorado. In that time she interned as an art teacher then taught high school art for 5 years.

Some of Alison’s works in California include document illumination for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, an editorial piece for Bay Area Alternative Press, painted masks for “One of a Kind” in Ghiridheli Square, character development for children’s books, and more.

Some of Alison’s works while in Colorado include the 2009 PSAC Juried show receiving people’s choice award, featured artist at the Pagosa Springs Art in the Garden event 2009, a t-shirt design for a local school, childrens books and more.

Alison is currently working on illustrating and writing her own children’s books. But more importantly making the best of her time with her children while she can.
